A house with two faces
On the lane it shows the older Galaxidi: a rubble-stone ground floor carrying cream-plastered upper storeys, ochre timber shutters, and a wrought-iron balcony poised above an arched, fanlit stone doorway. Behind it opens the quieter face — white walls, blue shutters, a vine pergola and a walled garden of lantana and lemon.
Built in 1850 and fully restored, the mansion kept its soul: the original timber was salvaged and re-set during the renovation. It carries autonomous heating (burner and radiators), a working traditional cistern, and an auxiliary store at the rear. A short walk from the harbour, beneath the bell of the parish church.
